SOON SEPTEMBER 1983-1995

This painting started it all. I originally painted this in 1983 while still in college. It was used by a band called ART IN AMERICA on Epic records. It was my first record cover, the band enjoyed moderate success including a video for MTV which I was in and did some amateur animation for. It was damaged by water in the basement of my house and the backcover I painted was totally ruined. In 1995 I repaired it however since my painting skills had vastly improved it came out looking a bit diffrent than the original.

To my delight in 1999 it was included by Michael Oachs in his book of the best "1000 Covers" of all time!
